Document verification is an important step to get admission through CAP rounds. This year students need to verify documents online at E-Scrutiny centre (EC). Below is the list of documents required for MBA admission in Maharashtra for the academic year 2020-21. The same document checklist is applicable for the MCA course also.

List of Documents Required for MBA Admission in Maharashtra 2020-21

Below is the checklist of Documents Required for MBA Admission in Maharashtra for the academic year 2020-21. The student needs to upload a scanned copy of original documents at mahacet.org portal through their login ID. This process of document verification at E-Scrutiny centre is applicable to MBA, MMS, PGDM, and MCA admission through CAP rounds.

For Open Category

  • Domicile Proof: Domicile Certificate of Candidate indicating that he/she is Domiciled in the State of Maharashtra OR Birth certificate mentioning the place of birth in Maharashtra
  • Indian Nationality Proof: Certificate of the Indian Nationality of the candidate* OR Birth Certificate OR Indian Passport OR School Leaving Certificate (College LC/TC also accepted)
  • 10th Marksheet: Statement of marks obtained at 10th/SSC or its Equivalent Examination
  • 10+2 Marksheet: Statement of marks obtained at 12th/HSC or its Equivalent Examination.
  • College Leaving Certificate / Transfer Certificate after passing Qualifying Examination (Optional)
  • Graduation Marksheet: Graduation or Degree final year mark-sheet is optional during document verification by E-Scrutiny. But candidate need to submit original mark-sheet at the time of reporting to the institute for admission confirmation after college allotment.

For SC, ST, OBC, NT Category

  • Domicile Proof: Domicile Certificate of Candidate indicating that he/she is Domiciled in the State of Maharashtra OR Birth certificate mentioning the place of birth in Maharashtra
  • Indian Nationality Proof: Certificate of the Indian Nationality of the candidate* OR Birth Certificate OR Indian Passport OR School Leaving Certificate (College LC/TC also accepted)
  • 10th Marksheet: Statement of marks obtained at 10th/SSC or its Equivalent Examination
  • 10+2 Marksheet: Statement of marks obtained at 12th/HSC or its Equivalent Examination.

Q. Can I verify documents by submitting a photocopy of documents?

Answer: This year, due to covid 19 situation, you need to scan all original documents and upload in the mahacet.org portal through your login credentials. If you wish, you can visit nearest FC center for physical verification of documents.

Q. Is there any alternate option for a nationality certificate?

Answer: Yes. You can verify your nationality as an Indian by producing the Birth certificate or School Leaving Certificate or passport. E-scrutiny centre will accept leaving certificate of 4th std or 7th or 10th or 12th std or Graduation.

Q. I have completed my graduation in 2018, now I want to take admission for MBA/MCA. So the gap certificate compulsory for Admission?

Answer: Yes

Q. What is the process for making a gap certificate?

Answer: It’s very simple. Search in Google for a notary in the area and contact them. For example search – notary near me. Gap certificate is your declaration given on Rs. 100/- non-judicial stamp paper stating the reason for the gap in between education.
